The user enters the TOTP generated by the third-party appĪfter this simple setup, the user can authenticate to their applications using the TOTP generated by their third-party app.The user enrolls the third-party app by scanning the QR Code (or manually entering the key into their 3rd party app).The third-party authenticator app enrollment process is easy: Administrators can also use a third-party app to sign in to the Rublon Admin Console.Each user can enroll both Rublon Authenticator and another third-party authenticator app and use them interchangeably.Each user can enroll and use only one third-party authenticator app.That being said, Rublon Authenticator is still the more secure option because, apart from TOTP, it also offers more robust MFA protection via Mobile Push notifications and QR Codes. This added layer of security may be helpful to users who already use a 3rd party app and are not comfortable with switching to the Rublon Authenticator.
